What is the difference between ABA & IBI?


ABA stands for Applied Behaviour Analysis which is a scientific process to identify the functional relations between observable behaviour and environmental context. ABA uses this information to design interventions to enhance social and personal well-being. ABA is based on objective evaluation and empirically based interventions to achieve meaningful, generalizable and enduring behaviours. (Paraphrased from ONTABA Standards of Practice)

IBI stands for Intensive Behavioural Intervention which refers to the application of principles of ABA in an intensive setting (minimum 25 hours per week) to result in behaviour change and improvement.




What are the fees?


The fees depend on the service. Please refer to your parent agreement copy. If this document is required, please contact Jessica at info@jmwellnesskids.com. Please ensure you include your child’s initials in the email for a quicker response.




Will you offer more services?


We are constantly trying to improve and enhance our current services. We are also working towards offering other services that all children and families can benefit from. If you have another service you would like to see us offer please send us a message at info@jmwellnesskids.com.




What are my options for paying?


At this time, you have the option to pay via e-transfer, or directly online through the invoice sent. Please refer to the parent handbook for more information on different methods of payments. If you have any questions, please contact Jessica at info@jmwellnesskids.com.




What is the cancellation policy?


Our priority is to ensure children are receiving the services that are most applicable and individualized. However, if a cancellation for a day/time is needed, we require a minimum of 24-hour notice. Please refer to the parent handbook for more information.




What if I need to change my day and time of respite and/or therapy?


If any change is required, please contact us directly at 416.475.7474. We will do our best to meet your needs.




What if I am not satisfied with the staff assigned with my child?


If you’re unhappy with any service you are receiving, please contact us immediately at 416.475.7474. More information can be found directly in the parent handbook.




What happens if I don’t want a service anymore?


At JM Wellness Kids, we require a two-week resignation notice. This notice can be emailed directly to info@jmwellnesskids.com or provided to the Program Coordinator. Please refer to the parent handbook for more information.
